Playa Blanca property

Playa Blanca is set on the southern tip of Lanzarote. The area enjoys good access, some very beautiful and safe beaches with some great new properties for both sale, long term rental and holiday rental. Playa Blanca still has plenty of space in and around it and still has a nice open feel to it.

Playa Blanca is at the Southernmost tip of Lanzarote and has its own harbour. It was once a small fishing village which has now evolved into one of the main tourist resorts on the Island. Playa Blanca is filled with luxurious developments, villas, apartments, studios, and houses to give you a full range of potential purchases. It has a newly built promenade in the centre of town that has a great deal of shops, cafes and restaurants that will suit all tastes plus a small but beautiful town beach.

The built area of Playa Blanca stretches from Faro Park in the west through the harbour and main town across the the marina and Las Colorados in the east.

The new Marina Rubicon is a beautiful picturesque setting for a sunset cocktail whilst watching the sailing fraternity go by and feast your eyes on the of the fantastic vessels afloat. There is also a large shopping area and Saturday market.

The Marina is located to the east side of Playa Blanca and there are many new and re-sale apartments and villas to chose from in this area. Moving further east you eventually arrive at Las Coloradas which is a lovely gated develpment bordering the Papagayo national park.

Playa Blanca is what is seen as a boom town because there's still a lot of property development continuing on. Building will soon begin for the new 18 hole golf course, however it still retains its quaintness and individuality within Lanzarote. The town itself boasts a variety of nightlife and facilities that include the ferry to fuerteventura. Just beyond the promenade there is a large sandy beach (Playa Dorada), where Sun beds and umbrellas are available for hire, along with bars, restaurants and a kiosk, Car parking and toilet facilities. It is the perfect vacation spot for the world weary traveler.

Just a short 10 minutes stroll from centre, Playa Blanca is also known for its stunning golden sand Papagayo Beaches, you can get to these either by foot about 25 minutes or by car along an unmade road, where you need to take some food, water and supplies when visiting here as there is nothing except the most beautiful secluded natural beaches on the island. Playa Blanca is one of the three main areas in Lanzarote for property. The other two areas which you may wish to take into account when thinking about buying your overseas property are Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. The Puerto del Carmen property market is different to Costa Teguise. Puerto del Carmen was the first tourist resort and therefore the busiest. Most holiday makers coming to Lanzarote go to Puerto del Carmen and therefore most people buy property for sale in Puerto del Carmen. The other big property and tourism destination on Lanzarote is Playa Blanca tucked away in the very south of the island. Again the Costa Teguise property market is different to that of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
